Just as produce floated in the well boats, these glassy confections now float in display tanks at local sweet shops – a cherished seasonal sight that marks the arrival of summer."In the peak of summer, people often lose their appetite, but mizu manju goes down smoothly," says Motoyoshi Matsushita, head of the Ogaki Confectionery Association's youth division.
